QUESTION

I am trying to place an object using a custom toolbar button, but I encounter the following message

  • "#272003620 - The library catalog that contains the referenced button information could not be located, or is out of date. Please reconfigure or delete the button."

How do I reconfigure the button?

ANSWER

This message will display when a custom toolbar button that you have selected can no longer locate the library object that it was assigned to. The button will need to be reconfigured to an object that currently exists in your library.

To reconfigure a custom toolbar button

  1. Click OK on the message. The Library Object Button Specification dialog will display and next to the Library button, it will say None Selected, signifying that a library object is no longer assigned to the button.

Note: The original Button Name, and in certain circumstances, the Button Icon Choices, will still be present in this dialog. You can use these references to locate the original library object when reconfiguring the button.

  2. Click on the Library button to display the Select Library Object dialog, where you can browse to, and select, an appropriate library object, then click OK.

  3. Once a library object has been selected, and all other settings are to your liking, click OK.
